Any feedback on using Fujifilm X-T3 (along with suggested lens options) for street shooting.

Everything that I have heard or read says that it is a step up from the X-T2 in ability. Have not heard of a bad review. I would think that a lense in 18-50 range (~24-80 in 35mm terms) would make a good street camera lens. Not as small as 4/3rds but a quality product.

F-ing awesome with the 27mm pancake lens. Very compact and unobtrusive.

I upgraded from the X-T1 when the X-T3 came out. The X-T3 is a great camera, for street photography I use the 18-55 mm and a 35 mm f2 prime.

I have the x-T3 and use it mostly to capture the sport activities of my grandchildren. Very quick focus action. For sports I no longer capture RAW, jpg only in normal mode, very little editing. Most of of editing is straightening and cropping.

I have the 50-140 for the sports and the 18-55 covers all i want to do for now.

Excellent camera with highly improved auto focus over the XT-2. For street photography I'd recommend the very competent and compact 18-55mm f/2.8-4. But I also found the 23mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/2 to be slightly sharper and better in low light situations. I have found that the camera's jpegs using Fuji's film simulations, especially B&W, to negate the need to shoot and process RAW files for street or event shooting. For landscape situations with high dynamic range (dark shadows and hot highlights) I still shoot RAW but often find the Fuji jpegs to be just as good even after meticulous processing of the RAW files. Have fun. It's a fantastic camera.

My choice would be their excellent 18-55 kit lens and their equally excellent 18-135 compact zoom. The 18-135 gets excellent reviews and is expensive (currently $799 on sale from most sellers) and it's probably worth it.

Yes, I have that lens also. It's becoming my favorite. Can focus within inches of your subject, it's fast (f/1.4) and tack sharp!

I know little or nothing about the X-T3, first hand ~ however, on the 16mp Fuji X-cameras, I do prefer the 35mm f/2 over the 18-55mm for most street shooting ~ sometimes I prefer the 27mm (pancake) focal length, especially when "walk-around" is the order of the day.

For general touring or travel, the 18-55mm is my first choice. These are the first 3 lenses I purchased (all, 2nd hand).

Still have full suite of FF Nikon, however, never use the old gear/technology. I use Fuji XT3 & X100F. For street scenes with the XT3 I favour the 35mm F2 for its speed, low profile and my 80mm F2.8 when I wish to remain “anonymous” shooting from a distance. The X100F is the perfect travel and street “sleeper”, however. It never leaves my pocket when out and about. Once I left the perceived comfort of zoom lenses, of which I have the 10-24, 18-55, and 55-200 for primes, I have not looked back. The zoom glass is used for specific situations while the X100F and the prime glass, 23mm F1.4, 35mm F2, 56mm F1.2 & 80mm F2.8 are my “go-to” preferences.

Merry Christmas!

I recently sold my D500 and all of my Nikon lens and purchased the X-T3 and love it. I particular like the ability to see what I get when I shoot. It’s also easy to adjust the exposure compensation while looking through the lens as I’m shooting. Easy menus, great having manual controls and I have carried it on all day shoots without weight problems.

The XT3 is a wonderful camera. Ken Wheeler refers to it as “an XT2 on steroids”. We switched to Fujifilm when the XT1 was released, updated to the XT2, and now use XT3s.

Yesterday, I spoke to Christopher Gilbert of Fujifilm. He shoots a lot of landscapes. His preferred lens is the 16mm. After his presentation, I noticed he had the new 8-16mm. I tested it at YM Camera. It was awesome. The bottom-line is, try the lens or rent one before you purchase. Fujifilm is making some very nice lenses.

Alternatively, you can adapt other manufacturers’ lenses to the Fujifilm cameras.

If you are interested in manual focus lenses, the Mitakon 35mm f0.95, Rokinon 12mm f2 and the Laowa 9mm f2.8 Zero D are working very well on the X-T3.
