I would buy used at that shutter count without question. You take a certain amount of risk, but buying through a quality outlet lessens the risk. But buying used and Grey Market is a double risk. I might do a used Grey Market product, but buying used AND Grey Market would seem to increase the risk factor tremendously.

Shutters today are made to actuate at least 150,000 times. Buying a genuine import means that anything wrong with the camera in the future will guarantee you service from Nikon.
Gray market, import Nikon's WILL NOT be serviced by Nikon USA. They will however, be serviced under warranty from the country of import. Say the camera is imported from China, you will have to have it serviced under warranty from China. Nikon USA will not repair any gray market (imported) under warranty or otherwise.

Not necessarily true: B&H does sell grey market cameras, with an in-house warranty.

Tis true, although they are selling less gray markets than before, they still offer it on some products.
