In the light of the old general store

I found an Old store which is filled with nostalgia from the 1800's till 1900 located in Florida called the Smallwood Family store-in Chockaloski-sp.- Fl. in the Everglades and the Cypress Gardens National Park. Also near the Rod and Reel Club where Hollywood greats stayed on their wilderness adventures Clark Gable etc.This was before Mr Collier built the bridges from the north. Yes the store still is open. It is back away from the town a bit-follow the signs-from Naples to Marco Island and beyond-go straight It's about 30-40 miles south of Naples-well worth the trip-check hours open on Google.

Thanks for the heads up, it sounds like a great place to check out. The store I have posted here is located on the Erie Canal, the entire village is dedicated to the life and time of that era. You can find the village Just outside of Rome, New York, or more quickly on the net.

Excellent composition. The B&W really sets the mood of the photo. I just added the Erie Canal Village to my bucket list. Won't be too much since Rome, NY is already on it. Mahalo for sharing.
