Martians Have Landed

No prizes for guessing where I went last evening. I had never seen Jeff Wayne's War of The Worlds and as its on its 40th Anniversary Tour of the UK, took the opportunity before it was too late.
No detachable lens or large cameras allowed of course but I did manage one shot with my little RX100 - a really handy fixed lens pocket camera. Enough to give me something to play with this afternoon and, together with a title-shot borrowed from the web, here's the result. What do you think of it as a quick composite?

Works fine. "Nasty" colors, dynamic, angled composition.

Good description of colour Bob - I hadn’t thought of it that way. Thanks for commenting.

They have landed. I really like how you worked the shot in PP. But gee why did you wait forty years to get the shot?

Good question and I can’t say I have a good answer - they sort of whizzed by a bit quickly. Glad I’ve seen it though, and wouldn’t mind catching the 50th anniversary tour!

Good bit of work with these. Very appropriate final images.

Thanks Bob. It is simple but I just wanted to get the feel of what I’d seen.
