What's the matter with just Merry Christmas to all our vets. We should all be aware our brave vets contain all people, man, woman, black, white and all nationalities. I can see the fear of being politically correct is creeping into all our lives. No one appologized sending you into Nam, you have nothing to apologize for. Thanks for your service. Merry Christmas.

I served from '66 to '68 but also was never sent to Nam. My tour was spent at Ft. Bragg, NC. The closest I came to going to Nam was escorting my 17-year-old stepbrother's body home. He took a direct hit from an RPG on the first day of the Tet Offensive. He had been in-country less than 1 week.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all those who made it back; a special Thank You for your service and sacrifice to those who did not.

Forgive me but I haven't seen any post that seemed to be politically correct at all. The OP simply wished his Vietnam brothers and sisters a Merry Christmas. Doesn't that in itself seem to include everybody breathing who served in Vietnam? I also haven't seen anyone apologize. Did I miss something here that you saw and I did not?

My sincere condolences on the loss of your stepbrother. I pray the loss is getting somewhat easier for your family though I know the pain will never go away. I also thank your stepbrother for his service.

I never served in the military.
A lot of people in this country should still be ashamed of themselves because of how they treated Vietnam vets. My young cousin Tim was killed in that war. Blessings to you people who survived.

Photo attached is from the Bob Hope show in DaNang 12/25/69 as I was going back "to work" with the 2/17 CAV, 101st ABN DIV, I CORPS. I had the honor/pleasure of meeting Bob Hope a couple of times in the 1970s as he was the neighbor of my boss at the El Dorado Country Club in Indian Wells, CA, great man and American patriot. Best to all my bros/sis' from that conflict. I'm an Agent Orange guy and the thing I miss the most after my lost buddies, is my mind. chase

I just took the shot, ain't me in the Santa suit!

Good one. I had the pleasure of transporting Sammy Davis, Jr. and his troupe in 1971 in my CH-47. He seemed like a stand up guy, and his wife was very nice, too.

Welcome Home Brothers and Sisters. Wishing you all a Blessed Christmas. Two tours in lovely South Vietnam, crew chief on C-130E # 877. No outward scars, but lost one lung lobe to AO and deal with heart disease. Still believe we did more good than if we never intervened. Again, Welcome Home......

To all my brothers and sisters who served with me and without me, Happy Holidays to you all and thanks for your service. Now let's cut the bull and bring everyone home from Afghanistan if we're not in it to win it. Seventeen years is more than enough.
