Maybe I lost the little manual that came with the lens, is there anywhere I can look for info on how it works? Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8 D Thanks all.

One end attaches to the camera. The other end points at the subject. The rest, you really don't need to worry much about.

Sure, that's easy for you to say, but which end is which?

Well, I'd guess that if you attach the wrong end, it will fall off. You've got a 50/50 chance of doing it right.

To pour peepee out of a boot, first try to read instructions on the heel.

Festus, it's quicker and easier to ask UH. Now get back on the set. I know you have a thing for Miss Kitty.

Johnny, now aren't you glad you asked? Good little lens, BTW.

The shiny side connects to the camera, the other side points at the subject.

Make sure you set the aperture to f22 or the camera will give you a fEE error.

After setting to f22 lock it there with the little red switch. Then mount on your camera just like you would any other nikon lens. If it doesn't autofocus, then maybe it's broken or your camera doesn't have an autofocus motor or its af motor is broken. If you don't have an af motor then don't lock the aperture and just manually focus with whatever f-stop you want. It'll be fine. If I've missed a step someone here will let me know.

Yes, I kept getting the fee code but couldn't find anywhere what it means.
