I have the odd GAS attack but typically it results in an upgrade to my lenses. I picked up a Nikkor 20-35, f/2.8 in excellent condition. This lens was produced in the 1993-2001 period. It looks new! It complements my D500 so well! I believe it is all about the eye of the photographer and the glass.
I bought mine new in 1996. Still use it. Great lens. Used on my D300 and now on the new D850 flagship.
I found I used my old 35-70 2.8 D on the DX format most. A lot of product shots and studio work.
With the D850, I’ll be upgrading some glass. 105 1.4 is one for sure.
