Was absolutely amazed today! I decided to look over my cameras today, first time in a year and a half. I found all of my batteries needed recharging, except one, the battery in my Leica M8 was still fully charged! Says something for Leica quality.

For a minute, from reading your title, I thought this post was going to be about baseball players. Glad the M8 was still charged.

I thought it could be a conversation on sour dough batter. I once kept a batter culture, that I had brought back from San Francisco, going for several years.

You left batteries in your camera for a year and a half?
You are lucky they didn't leak and destroy your stuff.
I take my batteries out even its just for overnight.
Camera's, flash units, anything that has a battery.

Don't blame your spell checker. You spelled "batter" correctly. It doesn't know that you used the wrong word.

I thought the question was going to be how long you could keep pancake batter in the fridge. I really wanted the answer to that one.

Well actually it says something about the battery quality. Or maybe you forgot that you charged it a couple of days ago.

The only problem with keeping anything in the fridge too long is that things tend to grow microscopic life forms.

Yes, true. But are they sufficiently large to consume a battery.? sm09:
