Is this after someone went in a tossed everything in the trash or donated it to charity? I can say this about my step mother, when she dies, I want no part of going thru all the stuff she and my father have/had. I know it's going to be a hoarders house chocked full of shi!

Ike,

You have captured a sensitive, sad image. Thanks for sharing. I lost my fiancé in February and know the loss you have captured. Jak

Ike I am sorry for your loss. A very moving image that captures the emptiness we feel when we lose a loved one.

pretty much. Ann went through and pulled the important papers, trashed the worthless clutter and the rest went to Goodwill. Weirdly, as I took the picture the wheelchair started rolling toward us in the doorway. It seemed time to go...

The photo seems to portray the empty lonely feeling as the grieving continues after we move on.

Still, the memories remain.

May they be the happy ones.

This evokes the feeling of loss and emptiness I felt when my Mom passed last February. It’s as was said above - poignant and meaningful.

by the way all, Martha was 97, sharp as a tack until her passing, and a wonderfully kind spirit. She wanted to go, but as always, there is a hole in the lives of all who remain. Thanks again all.
