Rules regarding nudity

I have tried searching but don't find anything vary specific. What are the rules for posting photos with partial nudity (breasts). Is there a way to flag them as adult only.

I would like to post photos of African tribes but many of the women are bare from the waist up, or partially. Some also involve scarring, etc.

Thanks
Dave

I take similar pictures when I'm in Ecuador. However, they do not fit the tone of the sections mentioned. Therefore, I never post them.

I agree, the folks looking at that site are probably not interested in travel photography. It's too bad there is no way to post them since I think they show artistic and cultural aspects of these people, and a part of the world most people never see.

We do have a nude section, as pointed out. Most of the photos there are, simply put, snapshots of people without their clothes. The few that I've posted to that section have -NSFW appended to the title, since the site doesn't list the section to which a photo is submitted when it appears in the Upcoming Topics section, I include that as a courtesy to those who may be viewing the site from a work computer.

Obviously, pornography sort of photos are most likely against the rules. A look at https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/s-27-1.html will probably be a good guide for you.

The rules / FAQ for the Photo Gallery address nudity, but has not been updated to reference the Nude Photography, Boudoir Photography, NSFW

- No nudity, gore, or other adult content is allowed in the gallery section (or on the rest of our forum). That includes any nude or semi-nude photography. The exception is our newly created Nude Photography section, for which you need to explicitly subscribe.

The Main Photography Discussion - Photography Forum -- Rules, Help, FAQ

- This forum contains NSFW sections, namely "Nude Photography, Boudoir Photography, NSFW, Discussions and Pictures" section. Users are not subscribed to such sections by default. So you shouldn't encounter images from such sections in Newest Topics, Active Topics, or in the digest. You would need to explicitly subscribe to the section or browse directly into that section from All Sections page.

Paul, photos posted to the Nude section do pass through, and are visible, in the Upcoming Topics section. Personally, I wish they'd bypass that section, but that's a programming issue and beyond our control.

I do not think I would jump to that conclusion. It is easy enough to check by simply going to the forum and looking.

One of the rules there is that they must be of "consenting adults." When you're shooting a group of people going about their daily activities and some of them are nude or partially so, getting their permission isn't a possibility. And frequently there are nude children involved. So, these photos don't fit the criteria of the group.

Surely if the society in which these people live, it is the natural occurrence in life, why would you need to get consent. It is no more questionable than the colour of their clothes. It is the western religious world that states nudity is somehow shameful (so must be an adult to choose to do this). A crowd has nothing to do with it. In a crowd of dressed people would you insist on getting everyone's consent.

Soon, someone will realize that endangered animals should not be photographed - just in case hunters recognize the area that the image was taken from.
