I thought it would be appropriate to share some photos specifically of the amazing eagles in action. Also there were 2 requests for the "old eagle hunter" to be shown on his complete horse so I will include 3 of those. They use a dead rabbit at the prey. In the last photo, the eagle has just made the "kill" and spreads it's wings to protect it as the hunter goes to release it's tallons. And by the way, the eagles they train to hunt are almost always females because they are bigger and have a better chance against coyotes and wolves.
I really appreciate all the comments, it was a great adventure. I have a few more trips that some of you might enjoy also for future posts...
