Here are a few more images from our trip to Mongolia this September. I appreciate all the great feedback from you!
1,2,3 are photos of different eagle hunters
4 is Aisholpan Nurgaiv, "The Eagle Huntress"
5 is a fun event at the festival where a man and a woman is in a horse race where she beats him with a stick. It is all in fun and they usually kiss at the end.
6 is my favorite eagle hunter in full fur hunting clothes mounted on his horse
7 our camp at Khoton Khurgan Lakes
8 early morning at our Ger in the Altai Tavan Bogd Mountains, just before my horse ride into the mountains (about 10 degrees outside)
Enjoy...Dave

WOW! I think you are my new best friend!
Thank you
Beautiful pictures of an amazing culture. One thing I've noticed about the Mongol tribes is that they are very proud and almost always happy. Your pictures show that perfectly. That must have been a wonderful trip.

Yes it was one of my favorite trips. And yes, they are so friendly, they are proud that others want to learn about their customs, they live very simple but demanding lives.
Great picturesof a beatiful culture thanks
