I still have my D700. Hated the first Nikon DSLRs and their APS-C sensors, bought more Fujichrome film. But my D700 restored my love for photography. Hope you enjoy your as much as I have mine.

I came from a Nikon D300. The D700 may look like the D300 but the performance of the D700 is far superior. Better colors, clarity, low light performance with little to no noise and the full frame sensor gives me a wider photo. I will never go back to APS-C and would gave gone full frame a long time ago had I know what I know now. I am amazed at the difference.
PS The D700 looking like my old D300 saved me from learning a new camera. With a couple of extras in the menu the D300 does not have, the D700 operation is essentially the same as the D300.
Finding a barely used D700 in like new condition with just over 11,036 shots from the original owner for $490 was, too me, the deal of the year.
I am a happy shooter
Amazing camera at an awesome price. Happy shooting!
