The Gray seal can be distinguished from the smaller harbor seal by its straight head profile, widely set nostrils and fewer spots on its body. Adult males (bulls) can measure up to 11 feet long and weigh nearly 900 pounds in the species’ western Atlantic range. Adult females (cows) are smaller, measuring up to 6 feet and weighing as much as 550 pounds.

Thank you Karin, Bear, Swamp-Cork, Red Sky At Night, Dan, Tommy, Greg, queencitysanta! I've been traveling Florida of late; and although not snowing here, a long delayed break in the summer heat seems to have the animals much more active. I reached into the archives for this group. Still the same camera but a few from lenses that have been swapped out over the years. Glad you enjoyed and thank you for your kind comments.

Gray Seal by Paul Sager, on Flickr

The Amur Tiger is reddish-rusty, or rusty-yellow in color, with narrow black transverse stripes. It has an extended supple body standing on rather short legs with a fairly long tail.

This image shows the upper limits of the EOS 5DIII when shooting at ISO-6400 and processing the results extensively from an original dark image. My success above ISO-5000 on this model has been limited and I've avoided situations where the light is too dark to capture a useful image.

Gorilla troops consist of a dominant silverback plus a harem of females with their young, including subadult males. Lone males occur, and troop ranges can overlap.

Hi,

What camera and lens did you use for these shots? They are amazing. Very close up.

Just been back for another look. That baby gorilla Nayembi #3 must have won a few prizes. My wife in raptures.
