Avoid them like the plague.

RUN - don't walk!! They won't send the item to you until they speak with you to 'clarify' your order. The call back is just an opportunity for them to upsell you with overpriced cards, warranties, batteries, straps, bags, kitchen sinks, timeshares etc. Read the add carefully. If the ad doesn't say it includes box, documentation, strap, caps etc you will be charged extra.

Abe's of Maine and 42nd St. Photo are not to be trusted.
Try:
Adorama
B&H
Cameta Camera
KEH (used gear)
MPB (used gear)
They are honest, fair, fast, and reliable.

Don’t know about purchasing camera equipment through them, but four years ago I did a complete remodel of my kitchen and bought all my kitchen appliances from them (LG line.). I’ve been very happy with those purchases through Abe’s of Maine. Maybe I lucked out?

Yup, gray market products, bait & switch tactics, etc. Stay away from them. Use reputable dealers like B&H, Adorama, Cameta Camera, and others as well.
Abe's is the digital era shoddy dealer much like Cambridge Camera was in the back ads of Pop Photo.

Avoid them like the plague, as dbjazz says. This question has been raised several times previously here on UHH. Do a search here on UHH to get a feel for just how disreputable they really are.

Get as far away, as fast as possible.

Years ago, after they first opened, they had a pretty good rep., but I guess money & greed got in the way of ethics.
Another good dealer, Beach Camera.

Others advise you to run away. I say don't buy from them but if you're near their store come and take a look. Perhaps you can take some pics and let us see?
