I go to a lot of culturally themed festivals in the greater Seattle area. There are many of them throughout the year and they are all free. These images were taken at this year's Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival at the Seattle Center a couple weeks ago. The Aztec dancers shown here are known as Tloke Nahuake and they are dynamic performers. I hope you enjoy these images. Thanks in advance for taking a look. These shots were all taken with a Tamron 70x200 f/2.8 G2 lens mounted on a Nikon D500.

Dramatic and artistic - I would have enjoyed watching them dance. I have to be amused, though, when I see these "folkloric" dancers: pheasants were introduced into North America about 200 years ago and the tradition of the skull face ("La Calavera Catrina") is a relatively modern one started in the past 100 years.
