Good Morning guys and ladies.
I have been a UHH member since late 2008 or nine, and check the Main Photography postings most every day, but in January of this year was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and have not felt up to using my camera very much since then. I don't know about the other cancers, but this one really saps your energy, strength and stamina. The good news is that the Doc. says the cancer growths have lessened to 'normal levels' and at least for November has taken me off the chemo, and I'm feeling better, if still weak, and starting to get back into the groove.
Last week my wife asked for a picture of a Cannas flower plant that our kids planted this spring along with some other plants that I was just unable to do. I took the shots and after processing decided to do something I'd never tried before. Both the original print and the PP result are attached; I'd like to get your comments on my attempt. I apparently attached the final PP version before the original,

Very nice, glad you are feeling better...
I like the black background on #1. Glad you're feeling better. Hope things work out for you.
Cancer sucks. The one you got more than others. In hindsight, getting prostate cancer fixed wasn't a whole lot worse than a bout with the flu.
So glad you feel like shooting again, it is healing. I like the pop the black background gives it. Nice work, I have never tried to do that.
Aloha

My wife drug me into a fabric store once. I shopped for a chunk of black fabric for background to roll up in my bag. If you set the aperture right, the wrinkles disappear.
That said, the always getting better selection tools in Photoshop can be more fun than a wrinkled rag.
I wish you the best of health for the future. Terry.

All of UHH pleased to hear you doing and feeling better. Nice shot!
It's wonderful that you are feeling better. Keep posting, these are nice.
May God Bless~ I know what it's like, colon cancer. Keep the Faith! God is in control!
Nice work with the photos, and happy that you’re feeling better. Hang in there.
Great shot happy to hear you are feeling better

I actually like the second one best because it looks more 'real'. The one with a black background doesn't include any supporting flowers/background to suggest a living plant.
