In NJ we are late turning colors if they turn at all due to the wet summer and fall. I went out today and saw very little color anywhere in Central Jersey and the Jersey Shore area. Very disappointed!

Bad year here in general. Especially bad. In general it is running about two weeks later than usual in NH, VT, and ME.
Climate change is changing this year by year.

This (Sunday) morning's Hartford Courant reported that peak fall colors will be here (in the Hartford area) in about two weeks. That information came from a meteorologist from one the state's universities. You won't have the mountain scenes of Vermont and New Hampshire, but it should be pretty nice -- but, if you're from California, our "mountains" will seem like overgrown hills to you! The hills in and around Hartford will seem like mole hills, but you can get out and about in the area and get great photos!

The foliage has all but changed here in California/Nevada area, I am considering going to the East Coast, New England and or south/ mid Atlantic area. For the changing of their foliage leaf colors etc. Does anyone who ACTULLY LIVES in Any of these areas know if this is a good time to go, I can go anytime in the next two weeks or so. Or any other suggestions ideas or places to go for the viewing of such things.
This was taken last weekend in NH's White Mountains. Called that Kangamangus Highway.

Next year will be a good time to visit - I hope. This year has been kind of a washout - literally. Too much rain and not enough color. We have trees with no leaves, brown leaves, and green leaves.
And that pretty much describes my area - suburban Philadelphia. Just returned from Washington, DC, and not much color there either.
I was in the mountains of VA at a festival in Whitetop, and it was just beginning to turn last Sunday (14th). I will be gorgeous in another week. There are some live cams to see what the Blue Ridge Mountains are doing..... I'd take a look.
