Does this have any merit as BIF? I do not shoot much of BIF. Too lazy to and not enough patience learn!
Thanks for feedback and viewing.

This shot made me smile the minute I looked at it! I can almost feel the bird’s joy.

I have a monopod and use it frequently. My difficulty is my right hand shaking (due to slight Parkinson's) at the instant of auto focus and shutter release. The weight of my DSLR's seems to help. The newly acquired Sony RX10 IV is more of a "shaking problem". I may try a cable release, hand strap or BBF for the Sony. I won't quit!!
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.

Give a monopod a try, Mark. I have pretty steady hands but I don't even consider hand held with a telephoto. With some practice you will be just as quick and versatile as the guys who shoot handheld. Personally, I've never seen any merit in shooting handheld. I have posted some BIFs that I'm pretty proud of and they were all shot using a monopod.

Excellent shot whether it's in flight or still standing in water. Keep trying.
