Great set. Rain has been the theme here in NJ this year.

Thank you

Our daughter started medical school at UVA in Charlottesville Aug 1st, she and her mother drove cross country and she moved into an apartment on July 27th. After one month there she was a bit in shock that there had been only 3 days without some rain. Born and raised on the edge of the desert in So. California so she saw more days of rain than in some years here at home.

Jerry, fantastic set which is normal for your posts. I will be getting the Tamron G2 next week. I will blame you when my wife gets he hackles up.

Thanks very much.
I put the blame on Regis and his eagle/osprey etc shots. I liked his shots so I got a 100-400 mk 1, then the 1.4x and when he started working with a 7DII I got one. I then upgraded to the 100-400 mk 2. I did not go for the 5Dsr and Canon primes like he did. By now I was developing my own style and preferences so next I traded the G1 Tamron and mk 1 Canon, my 6D and 7DII and got a 5DIV and 80D (for the 27 f/8 focal points and 24mp sensor) and have now added the Tamron G2. So from a 6D and 7DII (both 20mp) with Tamron G1 and Canon 100-400 mk 1 I have gone to 5DIV and 80D (30mp and 24mp) with Canon 100-400 mk 2 + 1.4x III and Tamron 150-600 G2.
Now Canon brought out the new R gear and the first camera has f/11 AF - I could use a 2x on the 100-400 mk 2 and a 1.4x on the Tamron G2 and still have AF. I think I will wait for next year's releases. Maybe a 7DIII (or mirrorless eqiv.) is in my future (I wonder if they can get it to AF at f/11? hope, hope hope). but the Canon Watch and Canon Rumors sites say Canon will keep the mirrorless APS-Cs in the EF-M family and the EF-R will be full frame. I will not get into two systems that require two different lens mounts. The EF-R has an adapter that makes the EF lenses work and they refer to it as 120%. I am content with my 5DIV for FF, an APS-C "R" body with f/11 AF and that 120% adapter would be worth it to me as I could continue to use my EF lenses.

Very well done, love that lens.

Thank you, yes it seems to be a very good lens for when I need max reach, up close the 100-400 mk 2 wins. I will probably keep the G2 on the 80D and the 100-400 mk 2 on the 5DIV. A max reach and max IQ long lens setup so I don't have to be changing lenses all the time.

Seems to match all the differences between the Cooper's and Sharp-shinned.

Thanks Sue. I no longer have to write lesson plans so I might as well work on captions and photo essay comments.
