I thank all of you for viewing and your nice comments.
They take her out every year and turn her around so things stay fairly stable. Oldest Commissioned Ship in the US Navy. They have a full crew aboard to give the tours and work the rigging and canons for the turn over the 4th of July if memory serves me. She was in Marblehead Harbor in 1986 I believe for a weekend which was the last time she went anywhere. We lived there and it was quite an event to commemorate the fact that she sailed into the harbor under the canons at Ft. Sewall in 1776 to protect here from the British Fleet.
Very interesting. Thank you for the info. We also visited the USS Constellation a few years ago. She is the Constitution's sister ship at Baltimore Inner Harbor. They also turn her once a year if my memory serves me correctly. Thanks for viewing.
