Years in the making. The restoration of the Memphis Belle B-17F Flying Fortress.

What a beautiful job of restoration. And beautiful pictures also. I flew the B-17 for two years in the Phillipines while in Air Sea Rescue. Only difference was
we had a 34' boat hooked onto the bomb bay to drop for sea rescue. I'm only 94 years old and would love to fly this baby one more time. Elton Denner

Great story...thanks for telling. And thanks for helping people out. Congratulations on making it to 94, hope you see many more years ahead.

Thanks for posting. I was a fighter guy but those WW 2 bomber crews had to possess brass balls. Amazing heroism every flight. Hope to visit the museum next year. Thanks again.
