This morning I was going through the posts for the day and came across a submission by TrishV -kingfisher with Coolpix P1000 I had a quick look at it on my iphone and then decided to have a look at it on my computer - only to discover that it did not occur on Photo Gallery for the day. This along with the post preceding as well as the post following. How is that possible ? This has occurred before.

Thanks Bob -how do I achieve that or how can I view the post in question other than on the phone?

Was your computer started from cold? If it had been turned on, maybe you had to reload the UHH site by clicking on that circular arrow.

When I read this I had to look for the picture. While out yesterday a woman pointed out a Kingfisher across the pond from where we were standing. I could barely see it, but she pointed and said to look for the white dot. It was too far for me to get a decent shot, but she did quite nicely with a P1000. She handed me the camera and although it isn't small it is light as a feather.

Turns out it wasn't TrishV though as we are on opposite sides of the country.

Its hardly light at 3.3 pounds, although for its size you would expect it to be heavier. Were you impressed with the image quality at that magnification?

I had been hand holding a 400 F/2.8 on a D850 ... the P1000 was light.

I couldn't really comment on image quality as I didn't have my glasses on. She had traded up from a P900 and she was impressed with the upgrade.

Back to the OP's question, I see rmalarz provided synch info below my comments. But for future and in general, some tips for navigating UHH: since you know the user name of the topic you wanted, all you have to do is go to top of any UHH page and enter the user name (or partial) into the link called "user list." Jerry provided you the link to the kingfisher topic.

When you view a user's account, you will see two links: one is to all the topics they have created (sorted by newest first), one is to every single comment they have ever made on UHH.

It sounds like you are browsing UHH via the email digest, which only gives a sampling of all that's posted every day. Just log into the website, uglyhedgehog.com, and try using "newest topics" at top of any UHH page. But first, go to "all sections" at bottom of any page to subscribe to sections that are of interest. You might be missing out on more than you realize

Simply go to UHH on both devices and click on the Latest Digest link at the bottom of the page. That should load the latest version of the digest on both.

If you were looking in Photo Gallery what probably happened was between the time you saw it on your phone and looked for it on your computer - other people posted items and some of the items in front of the one you were looking for got more views. That would cause that photo to move down - if you go to the end of the Photo Gallery you can bring up the next page and probably the photo will be there. The photos do not go away, they just drift down the pages as they age.
