Some time back I downloaded a EXIF viewing software on the UHH site that allowed me to view the EXIF data on UHH downloads. Well.....my desktop will not allow me to log in for whatever reason so I'm now using a lap top that I keep as a backup. I've searched the site for EXIF downloads but am unable to find one that was like the one I was using. Can anyone suggest one to use? At this point I just want one to see the EXIF information on UHH downloaded images if it has not been removed by the poster.

Also, is there anyone who could shed some light on what may be causing the log on issue on my desktop? I get this message:

The user profile service failed the logon.
User profile cannot be loaded.

I'm using Windows 7 Professional, and my password is correct and I can boot up using the "Safe Mode" so the hard drive doesn't seem to have crashed. Is there another way to bypass using a password to log on? Many thanks for any help/ideas that anyone could share.

There are many browser extensions, but it depends on what browser you are using.... for Chrome I use this extension, it works very nicely to send the image URL off to a web site that decodes the EXIF....

You should be easily able to get a list of many viewers for your browser by either looking for extensions in the appropriate app store, or by doing a Google search for EXIF viewers for your particular browser.

The bozos who write Microsoft error messages should be sent back to 7th grade remedial English classes!

Do you have a clean backup of that entire computer’s hard drive from a time that it worked?

Not to be Debbie Downer, but finding support for Win 7 is difficult these days. I’d suggest going to the Microsoft community forums.

Sadly no. I searched and found the instructions to correct the issue, however, in "Safe Mode" the procedure doesn't work.

I am using Firefox. The link that I downloaded from UHH worked well until this log on issue surfaced.

Your win7 os may have installed a recovery section on your hard drive. If you boot up in bios configuration to that drive, you may be able to recover the os. You could also try the win7 disk and try a system repair that way.

Sounds like that would be worth a shot.

Thanks. I do have the disk and will try both of your suggestions to see if one of them will resolve the issue.

Yes! Someone could compile a humorous collect to put into a book, although copyright issues would prevent selling it. "Something has gone wrong." "Fatal Error! Unexpected catastrophic failure! Please investigate, then kill the process. (0x0be0dead)"

If you were able to log on after downloading the plugin for Firefox why do you think its the Exif reader? Have you tried updating Firefox?
