This was at the falconry show at Hohenwerfen Castle (south of Salzburg), September 2016. A vulture landed on the lawn about 30 feet from me and was headed my way. I was glad I was not a mouse.

I was shooting at ISO 1000 due to all the motion, so it is a little grainy. Plus it was on my old D7200.

yeah, I got an old 7200 also. That's why I just bought a new one. So now I have an old d7200 and a new d7200. woo hoo !

Actually, the noise is not that bad or objectionable. I downloaded the image and applied a little noise reduction in ACR and that took care of the noise. But again, I don't find the noise objectionable in your posted image. I like it.

What a great shot. The grain is not at all problematic.

That is one of the coolest shots I have ever seen. The look on his face and the raised leg looks like he means business.

Great capture...and the vulture is not noisy at all...unless it's screeching at you while you were shooting it!!
