It seems to have been a misunderstanding. I’m sorry that wrote that comment to you instead of Petesfixit.

Not a problem, I get confused like that often. No worries.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess I got a little confused.

For some reason, when people ask a question about choosing between one camera or another, some people feel an urge to upsell. You were very specific about D5300 and D5600 and the responses were excellent. Then someone barges in and says get a D7200 and another starts listing the features of the D7200.

If you had asked about going from the D5300 to the D7xxx, someone would have charged in saying, go FX and get a D750 or better yet a D850.

On UHH, if you don't talk about the top of the line cameras, you're scum and people just look down on you.

I have a D5500 body for sale. Battery, charger & 32 Gb card. I don't use it anymore since I got the D500.

I have the Nikon D5300 and I am very happy with it. Personally I don't like the touch screen on the D5600 as it does thinks that I don't want done. If I were to go up it would be the D7200. Otherwise I am very happy with my D5300. By the way I also have the Sony a6000 with is great for carrying around.

My suggestion is to buy a Nikon D7200. You can use DX and FX lens with this camera. The best of both worlds.

Why won't fx lenses work?

Did they really remove the IR receiver from the D5600?

They did keep it on the D7500, thankfully.

Yeah, for some reason Nikon thought we would rather go through the menu to trigger the shutter instead of using the remarkably simple IR remote. It was included on the 5500 but dropped for the 5600. I do miss it but as you have stated, it works just fine on my 7500.

I love my little ML-L3. Simple, foolproof.

I was happy to see that it works on my D7500.

How much do you want for it?

I know, it seems kind of ironic that Nikon (who has been so hurt by smart phones) would now make you use one to remotely fire the shutter. Probably saves them a buck or two per camera though.

To whom it may concern: d5300, d5600 bla,bla,bla D7200.
The main problem with knowitalls is not that they know nothing,
it's just that they know so much that isn't so, knowitall.
This will be my only response to your bitter vomit.
Get a life. Turn to Christ.
He will change your hateful nature into something good.

Wow! I think it's obvious who's choking on bitter vomit. Maybe you should go elsewhere and let others have an informative discussion without your smug arrogance.

We love being know it alls and generally have fun with it.
What bitterness?
Differences between us and heated discussion is not hateful unless personal threats of violence are made which I have only happen once here. Even Dirt and his friends mercilessly attract me and others and guess what. No problem just a part of the banter and not taken personally.
When it comes down to it I personally believe that anyone here if needing real help would get it from most all of us.

Have you tried to find help. Please do so before it is too late. I hope this is nothing more than a cry for help. You are truly a troubled person. Please seek help.

I have the Nikon D5300 and really like it. Is the Nikon D5600 worth up grading to? What are the improvements? Would I noticed a difference if I made the upgrade? Thank you for enlightenment that can be offered.

I stand corrected on that very small point. I agree newcomers and all people in this forum deserve the best info which what I have provided. You seem like a very angry person. Maybe you could benefit from some consulting to help you work out your issues. In the meantime try to relax a little. After that post which I forgot about I did the extensive research I mentioned to include some hands on experience with several camera bodies. As you can probably see I do not do anything half way. I only offer the finest information. Be well and take care of yourself, remember mental health is just as important as physical health.
