I took some pics of the full moon. After many attempts I finally switched to TV mode and came up with the best picture as far as being sharpe. Then I took some pics through the trees. The coloured ones are 2 nights later. I had a lot of fun. Unfortunately they are not sharp as I still do not have my tripod :-( .. 2 more sleeps and I will be back home where the tripod is!!! sigh... Anyway, just wanted to let you see these and hopefully I will have sharper pics next month! Cheers

Great one of the moon! Congratulations. Sometimes automatic is not so bad  Which lens did you use for that first sharp shot?
Thanks for sharing and keep clicking.

I know! (automatic). I had tried different settings and got a bit frustrated and didn't want to miss the opportunity! LOL! I used my Sigma 150-500 ...love this lens....especially for birds and animals...best one I got!....Well except for my Sigma 150 macro ;-)
Thanks for taking the time to comment! Much appreciated.

Always a pleasure to look at great images! No wonder it was so sharp with that lens. What do you use your 50mm f1.8 for and are you happy with it too?

Thank you for the kind words... I use the 50mm for pictures I need to take indoors. I was asked to do some photo's of the people at our campground and so I had them come to the clubhouse and I used the 50mm without a flash and it did quite well. I don't have an external flash or fancy equipment to do portraits ..thus the 50mm in a pinch :-)

Thanks again. May I ask if you are happy with your Tamron 28-300mm? I'm deciding whether to get a Tamron 70-300mm .
