I am strictly an amateur so it's a nice complement to me to have a photo published in the Aug 14th edition of the newspaper The Times (London). I did not charge for the photo's use so I can keep my amateur status! But I was credited. It is a picture I took of the ship Peak Pegasus that was caught up in the US-China tariff "war". I have previously had a couple pictures used by shipping companies in their PR brochures, but this is more exciting.

Having an image published does not mean you lose your amateur status or are suddenly a pro with all the associated tax burdens.
