But it still isn't anywhere near that of a D850...rated at 1840 shots...the A73 is 710 shots...impressive, but less than half of a DSLR.
I get it, it's a minor thing to overcome, but you did ask about advantages, and frankly this is about the only place where a DSLR clearly out performs a mirrorless camera. For me it's no big deal...all I do is carry an extra batter or two.

You have to understand the CIPA ratings of battery testing. You really are showing you dont know about this. The CIPA battery standards were set up many years ago, long before pro mirrorless cameras existed. The CIPA standards tend to favor how a DSLR uses its battery, NOT how a mirrorless camera uses its battery. Many reviewers have explained this. So Sony chose to go with the official CIPA rating for its batteries, even though all test shooters, and pros are getting many times that number in reality. Some Sony shooters have gotten 2000 shots on one Z-Battery, some less. As a pro I find I can easily shoot stills all day, or a long shoot like a wedding, all on one battery. For me the distinct advantages of mirrorless coupled with their NEW battery capacity takes away any advantage, in the real pro world, of DSLRs. Do your research about the CIPA ratings and the reality of the number of shots Sony A9,A7RIII and A7III users are getting with the new Z-Battery. Every single real-world reviewer on youtube has stated that the shot capacity for these cameras is far beyond their "official" CIPA rating. Sorry to be hard on you, but you need to learn more about how CIPA rates batteries. Cheers
