Thanks so much for posting this. I have a Sony mirrorless and 2 Nikon DSLR. I think I will shoot a bit more with the Nikon after seeing that video.

I do not know who the gentleman in the video is but I can tell you everyone is entitled to an opinion. I use both, mirrorless and dSLR cameras. Professionals are using more and more mirrorless bodies. I am sure you know that Canon and Nikon are debuting very soon new mirrorless cameras and lenses. There must be a reason.
No camera or lens is perfect. The performance of a camera or lens depends a lot on the operator. We do our part and our gear does its part.
I continue to believe that in the near future most cameras will be mirrorless.

Many professionals are using mirrorless because they are advertising the cameras. They get the camera in exchange for posting the camera info. This could be a good reason to use and post, hey if I was getting the camera for free, I would do the same.
While the performance of the camera depends on the operator. He brings up many good points.

I also use both, I am a professional, I always use my Nikon when shooting for the newspaper that I work for.

The only reason for Canon and Nikon to enter the mirrorless market is that they are getting their asses handed to them by economic pressure from the mirrorless manufacturer market.

I don't expect either Nikon or Canon to bring any revelations to the mirrorless market than hasn't already been done by others. Mirrorless started in 2006 with Panasonic and Olympus. Now, 12 years later after a couple of abortive attempts by CaNikon, (I've tried the Nikon attempt), some ?serious? action from CaNikon. Why? Sounds like a sucker play to me. Do they really believe they have a better product to offer.

An attempt to save their base? I think so.

Thy hyperactive dude in the video started out with the admission that was a bit "clickbaity." And it was downhill from there. He warmed up a lot of old prejudices against mirrorless but then had to conclude that this all no longer applied to the current generation of mirrorless cameras. Lots of smoke and mirrors (no pun intended, of course). BTW: I use a Sony A7 III and paid for it myself.

I agree! Funny he doesn't show either Olympus or Panasonic mirrorless. If he spent half the energy he does waving cameras around and doing more meaningful comparisons he might be more believable. But still annoying.

He is annoying and not insightful. Many of things he lable as "dangers" are actually some of the benefits of mirrorless (e.i. EVF). I got bored and stopped watching after 6 minutes.

While the video was somewhat irritating to watch, I think all of his points are perfectly valid. It all boils down to, as he said, how you use your camera and what functions-features-traits matter to YOU. The only exception I might take is...the size difference between his mirrorless and dslr don't seem like much to me. DSLRs vary in size as mirrorless must also vary. Neither one is what you would call "small".
