My first car was a 1954 Mercury Montclair. What a piece of JUNK! My next car was a 1958 Mercury station wagon. Another piece of JUNK! Many years later, I gave Ford another chance. This one was towed in 3 times while it was still under warranty. What a piece of JUNK! 3 strikes and they're OUT! Over the years, I've had excellent results with Chrysler, GM, and Toyota vehicles. No more Ford products, EVER!

had 2 new ford pickups in the '70s. no one could keep them running right, not even the dealer. bought used toyota early '80s and never looked back. never a problem just regular upkeep.... sorry ford... i really liked the styling and comfort of the fords

Not to change the subject but that's probably the most repeated line ever when people talk about cars that they have owned. "I Should Have Kept it". The car I should have kept when I was in high school was a "56" Chevy Bel Air 283 cu.in.

What color was it. Mine was yellow. Yep, I should have kept it!

Well I still have my 1955 Chevy BelAir, my 1968 Cadillac DeVille convertible, my 1994 Jag XJS Racing Coupe w/ supercharger and 5 speed and a few others!!! Wife says “forget their value... you never sell anything!” She’s right

I really wasn't sure what engine was in the Bullit Movie Mustang. I looked it up, and you are correct. It was a high performance 390 cu in engine. I would say the Mustang had the edge on that one. Too bad that Dodge Charger didn't have the 426 cu in HEMI engine?

Had the Charger had the Hemi, IT would have been the star of the movie.

My first car was a light metalic blue 1966 Ford Mustang with a 6cy engine and a 3spd manual transmission. It was a fun car, and it helped me win the heart of the love of my life, Marybeth. She lost her battle with heart disease four years ago, but two years ago I bought the car in the photo posted here. She is a 2012 V6 with a 6spd manual transmission, and her name is Marybeth.

Good for you

According to the Jalopnik article "The 10 millionth Mustang made, Ford said, is a white 2019 convertible with a 460-horsepower V8 and a six-speed manual transmission."

Good choice: that celebratory 10-millionth Mustang's configuration is exactly as it should be.

So, why does Ford refuse to build and sell an F-150 with a V8 and a six-speed manual transmission?!?
According to the Jalopnik article "The 10 mil... (show quote)

They do make a F-150 with a V8 and a six-speed manual transmission ;-5.0 L and a 6 speed transmission.

I owned mostly Chevy's all my life but the sharpest car ever from the 1950's on up was the 56 Ford Crown Victoria.
