Typical workflow: DXO PhotoLab (for noise reduction: the prime version is the best there is, IMO) -->LightRoom CC (for cataloging and most of the editing) -->PS (occasionally for something special) --> NIK (could be any of the plugins -- they're all great, although HDR is buggy) --> LR (for exporting)

I use AlienSkin X3, Iridient Developer (great with Fuji Raw images), ON1 Photo RAW 2018, Luminar, Silver Efex Pro 2 (for B&W) I still have LR5.7 but rarely use it anymore.

I'm another Aftershot Pro 3 user. Also Paintshop Pro x9. Corel makes very user-friendly software.

I also have used Nikon Capture NX2 almost exclusively. I find that it's really all that I've needed too. The only rare exception is with HDR. For that type of photography, I've used Photomatix. I rarely shoot because of disability, as I rarely get out of the house. I greatly miss it.

I use Faststone Image Viewer for my viewer and organizer. I pre-process raw (NEF) with Corel Aftershot Pro 3 and convert to tif files. I use Corel Paintshop Pro X9 and 2018 Ultimate with Topaz, NIK, Redfield, and other plugins for final processing. -

I also use Corel Paint Shop Pro X9 with Topaz, NIK and other plugins that came with the program. It's a great post processing program.

Luminar and Aurora. Both are excellent and a one off purchase...

I use Irfanview for viewing and very basic corrections (it is free too), DXO PhotoLab and DXO Viewpoint for most other image processing including Nikon NEF raw files and Photoshop Elements11for merging images when I make panoramas.

Photoshop CS6. See my tag line for more details.

I think it might be time for you to update and upgrade a bit. Your camera must be really old or you never shoot Raw.

Very little. The lab develops and high res scans my film. Ready to post or print from.

Paintshop Pro. Much cheaper than anything Adobe. Non ransom software as I call it. Very powerful for editing all images.
