Does anyone have the nikon coolpix B00? Any you tell anything about your experiences with it? How do you like it? Do you have accessories for it. I decided to get one as a second camera.

Mary,
I do not have a B700 but a P610 and really love it. I considered changing to the B700 because it will shoot raw (right?) but it was lacking some features I had already. Since I do not make videos, that was not a factor for me. If you can be happy working with one lens and the point and shoot limitations of the camera, I think it is a great backup or grab and go camera.
I have the B700. I bought it for the 24-1440mm telephoto lens and 4K video capability and the ability to shoot raw. I bought a couple of extra batteries for it. I shoot manual and get great results in jpeg or raw. If you know how to use it this camera can deliver stunning results at 1440mm (full optical zoom) handheld. The flash unit is powerful enough to shoot indoors in dim light. I have a bunch of dslr's and lenses and this has become my most used camera. It's light weight and fast focusing too. I generally shoot at iso-100 to get the best color and sharpness.
I recently bought one and love it. It's a great "grab and go camera" for those times when it doesn't make sense to round up a bunch of DSLR equipment. I am attaching a couple sample shots.

What software do you use to process the RAW shots? I haven't tried it yet but I know it isn't Nikon's usual NEF.

Loc: Finally decided to plop down, Clover, S.C.
Had one just wasn't impressed, returned and got the P900. Had to use dng converter for my software to open nfw files. I'll wait for P1000 $ to reduce.
I have one. It is a wonderful camera. My prediction is that you will Love It!

I have one and I like it, though I consider it definitely as a "second" or "back-up" camera. To properly utilize the long zoom range, one must constantly keep in mind that "good" light--and as well, good technique--is required. Shooting subjects partially or wholly in shade, in hazy conditions, in low-contrast situations, or in dusk/dawn light at long ranges can be problematic, sometimes just impossible. It can do surprisingly well with sunlight reflected directly off the entire subject and back to the camera. If you are not too much of a "purist" to try the "scene selection" modes, I have found the "macro/close-up" mode for flowers and the "sunset" mode to be rather appealing. At shorter ranges, it performs much like any other digital camera with comparable specs. Indoors for snapshots of kids and pets, I frequently use fill flash, though not absolutely necessary, to give the images a little more "pop".
Best regards,
As a retired Realtor, I do not need the heavy Canon DSLR with multiple lenses that I needed to take wide angle inside shots. Daughter had a Nikon Coolpix L320 which I acquired and tried out last year with good results. My newer B 700 had more features, including a longer lens that I wanted to try. The B700 did not disappoint. Attached is an example of one that I took this year at Canyon de Chelly from the road above.
good photos - makes me feel good about ordering it!
The B700 raw files are .NRW files. I use Nikon's free software (downloaded it from their web site) Capture NX-D to convert the B700 raw .NRW files to .tif files. (They can also be converted from .NRW to .jpg in Capture NX-D, but I think .tif retains a bit more data.) Then I use Photoshop to process the .tif files and save as jpg. In good light, there's a very slight improvement in IQ with the raw files compared to .jpg files produced by the B700. You may or may not notice it.
