Great shots. I like No. the best even with the branch in the way. I think it truly depicts the bird. He looks mean and in reality he is!
American Kestrels used to be named Sparrow Hawks although they are actually falcons. Looking at No. 2 shows that they were incorrectly named. They seldom prey on anything larger on insects. I know that's a lot more than you probably want to know but sometimes I can't help myself.
