Vietnam era vet myself.
I was a Corporal (E4) US Marines. I was in a MATCU unit at the air wing in Beaufort, S.C.
I lost a few people I knew back in high school due to the war. My father was a Marine with 2 Purple Hearts from WWII.
Again thanks for the post.

Semper Fi - VN 67-68 (E-5) lost a brother to Agent Orange and brother in law to wounds and another brother in law with connected military health problems just recently. All Marines and VN served. Knew my in laws as a kid, so they were close, not just relatives.

We do not support the rights of "Symbols". We support, should support, the rights of the People.

Go run your "Patriotism" where people do not appreciate nor understand Freedom and Liberty.

I put in my time so "those" people can "kneel", or whatever other way to state their grievances. The national Anthem should not be trivialized with its use in any paid sport. If the Anthem is played, then any and all have the right to present their plight.

It is even sadder that you do not understand what "Freedom" actually means, as seen by your statement. Free, as a right, is not the same thing as the "free" we see in commercial sales ads.

To those who know the difference, Thanks. We need to protect it in spite of those who are willing to give it away.

USAF, 1967-1971, Sgt., closest deployment was Ubon, Thailand, 1969-1970, as AC-130A Gunship Ground Support for Inertial Navigation and Forward Looking Radar.

I, too, have nothing but Respect and Gratitude to all who served in Vietnam. I lost a high school buddy who was involved in helicopter decoy and rescue missions.

Freedom, and freedom to protest are rights that many have fought and died for... Our goal should be equal rights and justice for all people.

Marine Corps Vet, '61-'66. I never went to 'Nam, how I skated I don't know, but I did. To those who were there, my utmost respect and admiration. I am humbled by what you did, by what you endured. Semper Fi.

Navy vet during Korea. Served on a tin can "Destroyer 889 Uss O'Hare. Spent most of the time out of Gitmo Cuba plane guarding carriers. Only action we seen is when we blew a small gunrunning boat out of the water between South America and Cuba. That never made the news.

Mahalo for taking the time to photo and post. Was in the USAF 1964 - 1985. Never served in any war zone and I have great admiration for those who have. To those who have served especially those who did go; mahalo for your service. To those who did not return may you rest in peace and your families.

My wife and I visited Eagles Nest, N.M. last weekend, and they have a Vietnam Memorial there created by a man whose son died in country in an ambush. This was the first memorial created in the U.S. honoring those vets from all the Services. I took two photos of a UH-1 Huey they have on display, and a photo of a plaque on a wall. I wanted to post these in honor of all of our Vietnam vets on here. I served from 1969 to 1971 but never went over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for answering the call and keeping us free. It is noted and deeply appreciated.

Thank you, I flew Spooky there in 68-69. Too bad the politicians wouldn't let us do our job.
