Very nice Gregory - I usually get mine at the Salton Sea in California. Tried to get to the festival in Florida last year but it was too far away.

There are only a few places in the country you can see these beauties, you are lucky to have such a place as the Salton Sea. Love to see the babies when they come up from the burrows for the first time. I usually see mine on Marco Island, FL, only 40 miles from home. So glad you enjoyed rplain, greatly appreciate it, thanks so much

A real "traffic stopper" photo! Did you use f/16? Both owls in focus is rare. And, how about the true colors and the sharp eyes?! Which lens?

Thanks so very much Barn Owl, greatly appreciate it, so glad you enjoyed. I shot this at f/5.6, about 20 feet away. They were in a large field with an active rock quarry, behind a low barb wire fence. Canon T2i, and Canon 400Prime L Lens, hand held. I love to shoot the burrowing owls, they have such great expressions and are fearless of humans, typical raptor behavior.

Thanks so much Jim, greatly appreciate it, so glad you enjoyed. I could normally get closer, but the barbed wire fence held me back. On Marco Island, you can get within a few feet of them. The only restriction is a rope arround the nest area They love the attention
