Lost a very dear friend yesterday, my golden Ali. Had this great gal for almost 13 1/2 years. Missing her dearly.

First shot is when we first adopted her in February, 2005.

Second was taken in November, 2017.

Don

She was a lovely dog.

I feel your pain and hole in your heart as I have lost a couple over the years. Give yourself just a little time and find another lifetime friend. Will really help so much. Doesn't replace just gives new hope.....

So sorry for your loss! We've all gone through this too many times as dogs have a relatively short life span compared to us.

So sorry for your loss. Time heals, and there are new friends to find, but the pain of losing an old friend never completely goes away.

WWhat a sweet pup she appears to be; retrievers (Goldens and Labs) are the best, but any dog can be the one to win your heart. I just lost my own hero, companion, partner, friend and fellow unindicted co-conspirator of a thousand adventures in April, so I feel your pain all too well. As others have said, dogs are better than we are.

Time will take care of the pain, I too lost a friend a couple years ago, she was 14 and we had her from the puppy stage. It will get easier I promise

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your faithful friend. I know the empty feeling and have only myself found comfort in the blessing of time I was given to share a portion of my life with such a great companion.

I can understand how you feel. We lost our cat to renal failure 5 years ago. It broke our heart when we had no other choice than to put her to sleep to put her out of her miseries but we know we did the right thing.
I cried a times for a whole month. I still do.

My wife rescued another cat from the street, hardly 4 weeks old. She was hungry and dehydrated and was walking erratically and exposed to be killed by a car. We took her to the vet and she began to receive treatment for an ear infection while she was progressing on her diet. She has become very friendly with all the members of the family but in spite of that I still miss my older cat and keep on crying like a fool at times.

I am sorry for your lost. Death is something that happens to all living creatures and still it is a very painful event for us humans.
