Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to have an action repeat a specific number of times (such as 50) at a specific interval (such as every 5 seconds)?

Thank you,
Dave

An action surely works on the picture that's in the active window? so if it was possible why would you want an action repeated multiple times on the same image or you hoping to automate the change of images as well? No timer on PS so actions have to be started manually anyway.
If your wanting the same edits contained within an action to apply to 50 different photographs then you need software that will process a batch of pictures in an identical manner automatically. I think Lightroom has this facility.

The "why" isn't important, just want to know if it's possible, same image, just trying to avoid manually starting the action a lot of times...

Then I could possibly have saved my breath and just said NO

Sometimes the explanation of "WHY", facilitates a viable solution for the "How".
Just saying..... But for now, I could be wrong because Photoshop has surprised me before but I don't think it can do what you are asking.

I figured out a work around for me and it works great! A simple loop...

1. I set up the initial action (A)

2. I set up a second action (B) that says to run action A maybe 10 times

3. I set up a third action (C) to play action B 5 times

So based on my image I might want to run action A 50 times so I simply run action C one time.
