Google stopped supporting Picasa's normal ability to email pictures. Is there anyone out there that has a workaround to email pictures from Picasa with either Windows Live or Gmail? Thanks Bob

Don't know Picasa but if you can find the jpg you can simply use your mailer. All Picasa does is shrink it and call a mailer - no magic. All mailers allow one to attach a file as long as you can find the file with the mailer finder. If the file is too big, or bigger than you want, you will need to copy the photo to another place(leave the master alone) and use one of those applications that are on all computers that will allow you to shrink the size.

If you are on Windows, copy the file to a safe place and find it with explorer. Right click and select "open with" and it will tell you what programs are available to play with a jpg. Photo gallery and Picture manager both allow on to resize.

A note to those that like to use free applications - they often leave you in limbo.

Create a folder on your desktop called "for email." Since you are used to accessing your photos via Picasa folders, open that software and pull up the pic you want to send. Instead of clicking email, go to File - Save As...and then save to the new folder you created on the desktop.

I can't recall for certain, but when you do "save as," I believe you are offered a choice of sizes.

Now open your preferred email program, go to the "attach" icon (often a paperclip) and select the photo from your folder called "for email."

HAVE SAME PROBLEM WITH PICASA 3 , i have 3 email systems .so i use Gmail in this case .what you do you export your picture in a folder , put a name on that folder .shut picasa off .open gmail , go to compose , enter address where your pics are going , now on mine at bottom , look for paper clip , click on that , your folder will show off , probably among others , that is why you put a name on it .so now you see your tiny pics in a row , hold ctrl , click on each pics , now they are in your email , wait so they are totally there , SEND .[ you can add a message ].

Hi Agillot: Thanks for taking the time to help me. It is much appreciated. I get as far as the paper clip. I can't find any folder from that point on to click on any pictures. What do you think? Thanks Bob maybe you can describe in great detail what I should see and do after paper clip.
