Has 4K changed anything for you?

-Do you have a 4K TV?
-Have you made a 4K slideshow?
-Do you shoot 4K video?
-Have you watched your own 4K clips on a 4K TV?
-Do you edit 4K video?
-Have you captured JPEGs from 4K footage?
-Have you made a print from a captured 4K JPEG?

Nothing at this point,,,but I am wondering if pulling stills from video might become the norm for sports and action and birds in flight and wildlife photography in the future with the faster frame rate and not missing the moment....

I haven't done any 4k video, but have watched lots of it and it does appear to be really good. I have a 65 inch 4k tv and have watched numerous shows in 4k from Netflix and my cable provider has half a dozen 4k channels, mostly sports, music videos and one movie channel. The baseball games are great to watch in 4k.

But it really hasn't changed the way we live at all.

I have a 65” 4K SUHD Samsung .. have an APPO 4K player and $1,200 In 4K DVDs ...My D850 shoots 4K.video ..,. and My APPO will accept the SD card ..haven’t tried to shoot 4K with the 850 and play it .., it should work ..In fact I never used my video with my D800E.., and the D810 .., never even tried it..

I know I can shoot 4K in the GO PRO and put the SD card into my 4K OPPO player and it displays 4K on the 4K Samsung .., just great stuffffff..

What has 4K done for me.., you ask ..well My premium NetFlix plays 4K movies And documentaries...and the enhanced picture / clarity brings the pictures to an amazing stunning reality ...like better cameras and lenses .. most photographers strive for clarity.., well the same for tv ...

Why do photographer by RETINA screens on Macs etc and 4K monitors ... for a more precise viewing and editing ...

Our son just bought QLED 65” .., which replaces the 4K ... wow what a leap from Regular 4K TVs ..

Basically 4K anything costs $$$ ..,just to get a clearer look at ...at least 50-70 % of the HOGGS would say .., “my digital / HD tv is just fine ‘ it’s all I need ...

With my glasses .. binoculars...cameras ..telescope .. I always strive to get more clarity ..., well that’s what 4K anything and above gives me ..and it is getting cheaper as more and more it becomes the norm ..surpassed by OLED/ QLED .. heck the 8K is being readied as we speak and the first sets will be shown at the next CES show ...
But what do I know ,, some hogs still have VHS ... so whatever works for you and your happy with it .., that’s all the counts ..!!

Chasing better anything be it cameras .., lenses …, TVs .., 🚗cars .., cost $$$$ .. as I near retirement ...that becomes a major factor ....

Yes, we have three 4K Tv's, two 55 inch and one 30 inch I use as a monitor.
I have recorded several videos in 4K.
I mainly use 4K for its frame capture capability. It's like having virtual 30 frames per second.

Standard screen resolution has been 1920x1080 for about a decade. It is changing over to four times that much.
