About two years ago, Google stopped supporting Picasa. Two days ago they removed features like being able to email pictures. I am not real computer savy and would like a free or pay software that will allow me to do what Picasa did without a terrific learning curve. Picasa worked for me. I am not on a cloud and money is not the problem. Just want to store, print, send by email, some editing. PLEASE HELP ME. I feel like my world just collapsed! Thanks Bob
I do not know how much like Adobe Elements 18 it is but B&H just lowered the price of it. I do not know if its is a sale price or not. It comes on a cd you load to your and then register with Adobe. I have Adobe Elements 15 which came with a version of Adobe Premier. I thin B&H may have the Adobe Elements 15 still too. I learned Adobe back when it first came out and even then it was simple to use. For the price it was worth it to me. I can do RAW files in it too.
If you just load the pictures into a Windows folder. Picasa will find them an put them in Picasa folder.
See if this free one will meet your needs:
http://www.faststone.org/I've also been using PS Elements for several years, but sounds like you're not looking for that kind of commitment

I have a couple of downloads of Picasa 3 that I saved and have used when installing software on a new hard drive.
If your copy stopped doing e-mail there is an easy work around. Save a jpeg to your desktop (or anywhere you want) and load as an attachment to your e-mail program from there.
Otherwise there are many many apps that are simple and easy to use but I would recommend Photo Shop Elements. On one disk you get an organizer, photo editor and a video editor . It can be set for different levels (just like a video game) up to the full "expert" editing. The levels are Quick, Guided and Expert - each has more options than the last. The guided has a long menu of things to do and will then take you through the process step by step so you can learn it. PSE will also work with the plug-ins and add-ons just like LightRoom and PhotoShop. Then if you ever get to that point there is an app called "Elements+" that costs about $12 and brings PSE up to almost the level of PS. PSE 2018 (current version) is less than $100 and if you watch for the coming of the next version many places will sell off their stock at a big discount.

I agree, Linda - Faststone meets OP's stated requirements, is easy to use, and it's free.

Honestly, in our modern world, there are all kinds of occasions when sending something {not just a picture} as an email attachment is necessary. You need to know how to do that .... and then sending pictures without Picasa will be simple also.
Knowing Picasa was going out, I went to Faststone. Free, a bit of editing, mailing, etc. You tell it where to look for pics like Picasa. You can take a look at it here.

Checked and see it is NOT for Apple computers.

Hi Bob,
If you're working with a PC, and if sending photos via email is your main concern, you may already know, but if not, you can simply send photos from within Windows by right-clicking on the photo you wish to send, select "send to", and then choose Mail recipient. You can also select from severl sizes you wish to send including original size. If you're doing this the first time you may have to address tell Windows which Email Program you're using. Once you do this, it automatically places the photo(s) in that email program, ready to send, using the steps above.
wow , have same problem , now cant send pictures directly from picasa , have to export them and use my google e mail , not as handy .thaks for let us know about this .

Google Photos! 2 years ago they announced the end of Picassa and you waited till now? Google photos is the replacement and will do what you want. Your not on a cloud? Lol that is too funny. Reminds me of The Rolling Stones “Hey you get off of my cloud”. I hate to break this to you but if you use email you are on “the cloud”. Lol.
