What a pleasant still life! I would never have thought of putting Valerian and roses together. Was it difficult to get the lighting on the jar right?
I really think you caught this perfectly. The reflection, the black background and the emphasis on the white rose make the image pop for me. Well done.
Vicki, this is quite lovely. I really like your series of flowers.

I liked the light on this one with just a touch on most elements but a little more on the flowers. See what you think about the subtlety.
I like this a lot Vicki! I want to do more of this kind of still life with my collection of vases with flowers. This is a good example for me to try!
Please, what lighting did you use. I have tried to get just the right light on just the flowers and soften and darken the rest but have not been successful. thanks for your help!

Excellent shot Vicki, the composition, light and reflections are beautiful.
I like your inclusion of the lacey ribbon in this, adds just enough light to the lower part of the image to keep it from being lost. Dresses up the flowers nicely. Good work!

Sharpness, fine detail, & a big dof suit this one, Vicki--gorgeous lighting, too. I like it very much.
Thanks for letting me know you liked this shot Earl. I've had fun arranging still life shots and playing with light.

Really nice work spotlighting the flower! Very appealing.
Many thanks Mike. The little "tactical" flashlight has been very useful for this project.
