Stunning download Larry, love the composition with the tree!

Thanks Sylvias. I like the way this seems to be holding up or reaching for the stars.

Outstanding image Larry. Nice work on this one. And I like the visual interest in the foreground.

Thanks so much for the post-processing info. Hopefully, I'll get lucky and have some clear weather/skies in Acadia.

Thanks tbell. I really have to start bringing a rake to clean up the sand for shots like this. I've thought about it in the past, but after this particular night--the rake is going in the car. Just something else to carry.

Couldn't sleep Wednesday night so I drove to the Florida Keys (Marathon) to try to capture the Milky Way. It was cloudy, but I managed a few shots between the drifting clouds. As you can see, the beaches in the Keys are still not cleaned up from last fall's hurricanes (and the new storm season starts in 3 weeks)

[quote=treadwl]I had several dead trees to chose from thanks to Hurricane Irma. She did a great job of sculpting them.
Had to sit on some pretty disgusting seaweed to get low enough to raise the tress against the sky but it all worked out. (and I brought a change of clothes for afterwards)

Good thing you brought a change of clothes!
