Absolutely love my 750. If you couple it with the 24-120, I would also recommend the optional battery pack, just to give some balance. The 24-120 is fairly large and heavy and without the battery pack it seemed a little bit "front heavy". Go for it!

I am wary of the 24-120 Nikon. Even the latest version.

Heck I had both previous versions and liked them a lot, on crop frame they gave me an ideal 36-180mm field of view, never felt I was giving anything up image wise. Now I’m an Oly user, use the 12-60 f2.8, cost less even than the used price on the 24-120 VR 1, never understood the negative reviews, learned to understand most are meaningless

I use my cameras for travel primarily and I find the D750 a great image maker. I opted for the Sigma 24-105 f/4 over the Nikon after I read many articles stating it was a little soft. I have never used the Nikon 24-120 so can’t say if the “soft” thing is real. I can tell you the Sigma is wonderful. Downside is the Sigma is 6 ozs heavier. I have found that the 24-105 is my go to lens for European travel. I have a cadre of lens choices but this is my primary for European travel. I have never had any issues with my two D750s but they were both recalled & repaired for the shutter replacement. The kit price with the 24-120 lens is very good so it is probably worth a try. You could always sell it and buy a another similar lens if you didn’t like it and still be OK with trade out due to the great kit price. Good luck!

I recently upgraded to a D750 from the D5600 (which is also a great camera) - Love the D750 and very happy I made the switch.

Hi

I got my D750 3 years ago and it produces stunning images. As already mentioned, it is great in low light and will nail focus in near dark conditions. Get it, you'll be glad you did! Take care & ...

I have had a refurbed D750 from Cameta for two years. It is a better camera than I am a photographer. Absolutely love it. My 28-300 zoom is on it 80% of the time.

Happy with my D750 and the lens it came with. Great walkaround lens. I also had to send it in for the recall but that process went fine too.

In the case of this old photographer a very much better camera!

But your comment raises a question in my mind. One that I will turn into a new topic!

I just bought a used D750 and it is an amazing camera. I used it to take photos during a demonstration of an evacuation using a Blackhawk helicopter and got some great images. I use a 28 - 300 Nikon lens as my walk around lens and an happy with that combo.

I am thinking about upgrading to a full frame camera and like the price point that the Nikon D750 is at. I have thought about the new Sony, A7III however with the current pricing on the Nikon is tough to pass up. I will most likely buy with the 24-120 offered and at some point use the cash saved to buy another lense most likely a long range zoom.

I have done a fair amount of research and would like to know if some of you have had real time experience with this camera and what you think? I know they have had a few issues with the 24-120 lense and some initial firmware problems.

Any thoughts would be appreciated?

The D750 is aging technology... the Sony A7III and more costly A7RIII are current advanced technology. I've been a Nikon user since 1972 and currently have a Nikon DF, D750 and D810 and Sony A7II and A7RIII and plan on selling all my Nikon gear (a lot) and moving completely to Sony.

I have read a lot of great & positive comments on the D750. So far, three pages of them! Therefore I will say only that I have two now and I am about to buy a third one. A person might ask, "Why three?" I will respond that I use different lens on two cameras and the other camera has been converted to IR for special occasions. Enjoy your new camera, the D750 that is. Also, the 24-120 F/4 lens is a great little lens!

MY first full frame camera was the D750 I bought 2 years ago when I switched from my Canon T4i. I researched cameras for 6 months and it seemed that the D750 was an amazing camera at a good price. I have not been disappointed other than a recurring problem with spots on the sensor. I have sent it in several times, and while Nikon insists that it is not oil spots (like the D610) I believe that it is. I recently went to a camera expo at my local camera shop and they were offering free cleanings. The technician confirmed that the spots were indeed oil. These spots appeared the first day I used the 750 and they quickly reappear after a cleaning. My Canon T4i never showed a single spot in two years of use, and my new D850 hasn't shown a single spot in three months of use.

Aside from that, the image quality of the 750 is superb. I have the 24-120 lens and it takes excellent pictures, nearly as good at 24mm as my Nikon 14-24 F/2.8. I am going to be testing out the Nikon 24-70 F/2.8 to see if it is worth upgrading from the 24-120. The price difference is very large, so I will need to be quite impressed before I make that upgrade.

I have had a Nikon D750 for a couple of years and absolutely love it--full feature set, works flawlessly and for what you get, the price is right--highly recommended!
