Garfield (the cat) on the oil crisis.
A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country. Well there is a simple answer. "Nobody bothered to check the oil." WE just didn't know we were getting low. The reason for that is purely geographical.
Our oil is located in: Alaska, California, Coastal Florida, Coastal Louisiana, Coastal Alabama, Coastal Mississippi, Coastal Texas, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
OUR DIPSTICKS ARE LOCATED IN DC.
any questions? no? Didn't think so.

I think it's the voters who keep voting the same ones back in. Everyone blames the politicians when we should blame ourselves.

When I was in 5th grade I asked my male elementary school teacher what would happen when the oil ran out. His answer was that it wouldn't happen for fifty years. I guess he didn't have to worry....he'd be dead, but fifty years has passed and I'm still here. I think a had a pretty good question for a fifth grader in the 1960.

A great question for any grade. If a fifth grader ask you that now, what would your answer be?

I asked my 5th year grandaughter that question. She said they won't need oil in 50 years. I won't be around to find out if she is right.
We'll have to use the sun, water or wind for energy.
Hydrogen. It is the most common element in the universe. People against Hydrogen look to the Hindenburg as a reason for not utilizing it. Imagine that some people still think that we have not advanced technology 1937. Guess they still have a B&W television too. Microwave? Whats that? LOL
Being from New Jersey i know of the Hindenburg, and i have to admit gas scares me.If Hydrogen is best for the environment then i say go with it.living in Florida might well make better use of Solar or the ocean tides and it is windy here.I just don't want to kill off wild life or human life for energy.
