I need longer arms or less fear about falling 1100'. I was not willing to get right to the edge. Nikon d500 with Nikon 10-24 at 10mm, f/14, 1/250s and iso 250. no pp just the JPEG out of the camera. I will work on the photos when we get home

Nice shots! I think you did well. I was on my hands and knees and still could only crawl to within a couple of feet when I went there. Seems the older I get, the more a fear of heights combined with shaky balance anyway kicks in!
I can't even watch scary shots on youtube! Congratulations for getting as close as you did. This is one of my all-time favorite photos.
Both times that we've been there I laid on my stomach and scooted as close to the edge as possible while my wife was holding on to my feet. It's a spectacular view!
Good shots!

You went close enough. Nice shots.
I have always wanted to see this place in person. Im pretty sure I would have probably felt like I needed to eliminate the foreground by creeping to the edge also, but in your shots I get a sense of being there that I don't get from the countless other photos I have seen. I really enjoy these!
Nice! I like these.
When I was there I crawled out to the edge and held my camera over to take the shot--surprised myself that I was brave enough (or stupid enough) to do that. It was crowded that day, and what amazed me were all the tourists, mostly Asian, that walked right out to the edge and looked over.
Would I crawl out there again? Nope, once was enough--it still scares me to think about it.

I have this things about heights myself so I understand your not wanting to get close to the edge.
I wondered though. Was is that called Horseshoe Bend?
Someone told me before I went to carry a monopod to put out over the edge. I did it with a time delay and it worked very well.
