Can't go back a page in UHH suspect pop ups

Maybe someone can help me. I use UHH all the time and a few days ago it started acting up. After looking at a few pages and using the 'back page' arrow in upper left corner of IE9 in Win7 it won't go back. I click and hold down the back page arrow and get what looks like some google ad that fills my back page so that it won't go back. I have to open a new session of UHH every couple of minutes. Check the screen capture. Please don't suggest another browser. I'd like to know a fix. And I have 'all pop ups' blocked but I am forced to allow at least one instance of pop up to get on UHH.

That has been happening to me also a bit lately. And when starting a new session, the topics seem to have changed their order OR start a new page. Maybe the computer is the problem, I don't know, but it is annoying.

It's the ads on the page, they rotate once if yu are on the page for a while. You have to hit your back button 2 times.

If you look at my graphic, you'll see that I hit the back button 4 times already. The back button is loaded with the ad. This is too much!

Doubleclick collects information about where you've been on the web, supposedly for marketing purposes. Some spyware removal programs will identify it as malware. Check your IE9 settings, there may be a way to block it. Check your privacy and security settings. Also, you might try clearing your history and cache folder, though losing your history might prove inconvenient.

Thank you. I think you hit the nail on the head. I'll run the spyware program and see if it can detect it and then clear everything in my history.

Well Windows Defender didn't find it and I just installed a brand new Kasperski antivirus and it didn't find it. I Googled it and found a way to stop those ads. I followed their directions and it seems to work. In fact, all the ads are gone now. I hate those ads. I always wondered how they were always suggesting I buy something that I might have just been looking at i.e a battery or a strap or something else camera related. I think UHH is either the cause of this or this spyware or it found it's way on my computer thru UHH. I guess I have no way of knowing for sure. I hope this is the end of it.

After a day my computer is still infected with this malware. I'm getting tired of it.

You could try downloading MalwareBytes from cnet.com. It can be very effective.

CAUTION: You should be backed up before turning it loose. I've seen it very effectively clean up problems on a number of systems, but on one occasion, "The operation was a success, but the patient died." The malware was identified and deleted, and then Windows wouldn't start after a reboot.

Of course, the system ran fine after recovering all the data, reformatting and reinstalling Windows, updating Windows, installing security, reinstalling all the programs and reloading all the data.
