Congratulations Laura! It is a great achievement.

If I found the right site it says the event is over. Are they just referring to the opening?

Yes, the opening was part of Downtown Bryan’s “First Friday”. My images are on display through May 1st! Thanks!

I have my first pop-up show in a small local art gallery! I don’t feel worthy and I’m probably not. Of course, I am nervous that someone will walk in, look at my work and say “I could have done that!” But it is what it is. I am patting myself on the back just because I had the nerve to put myself out there! :)

Nice work.....good luck.....Jim M

For those that are ever stupid enough to say "I could have done that" my answer is "then why didn't you?" The world is full of those who "could have, would have, should have" but didn't. You did!

Yes, I am sure there are photographers out there that can and will say "I could have done that!" - but their photographs are not up on those walls! Your photographs are up on those walls! I know there are photographers out there that can out shoot me. But if I have photographs up on a wall, in a public place, that had to be judged to be good enough to meet some standard, I would take that as a compliment and meaning that I have made it to being a very good photographer. Just keep patting yourself on your back - and then get back to taking more great photographs to put on that wall again. Good job and a job well done.

Nothing venture, nothing gain. Go for it girl! It is the year of women and congratulations.

Just have faith in yourself and accept that some will like what you do and some wouldn't, but just say to yourself "some you lose and some you win" and congratulations on having your work displayed for others to enjoy.

Heather

Too much negativity in the world do not let it impact your enjoyment. The pictures look great, wish I were local so I could visit and check them out. Great accomplishment, enjoy the moment.

Nice presentation. If they say "I could have done that" maybe you just inspired them to go out and try. that alone is a win.
