I don't know where White is, but if it isn't too far from Savannah you might want to check out the 8th Air Force museum.

South of White in Kennesaw, is the Southern Museum.
I think there is a lot of civil war stuff.
Including the "General" Steam Locomotive from the civil war. It has been restored. It has unique history.
Google.
I plan to visit the General next month.

There is an old Wooden Bridge in Euharlee (near Cartersville) and the Indian mounds by Red Top...White is a little Northwest of Atlanta Proper. Taking one of Mike Moats workshops? I live about 35-40 miles Southwest of White

I know where White is and the surrounding countryside is full of old rotting barns. 25 miles in any direction should satisfy you!!!
White is about an hour drive north of Atlanta, depending on traffic. I was to Old Car City last November and visited the National Cemetery in Marietta (dates to Civil War) and Amicalola Falls State Park that has the longest water fall in the eastern US. Both these ideas are north of Altanta and keep you out of ATL traffic. Savannah is a 4+ hour drive away, if you're lucky with traffic. There's a few battlefields between ATL and Chattanooga, TN, all close to I-75 that runs between the two cities.
Avoiding Atlanta traffic is a must...

If you are traveling by vehicle down, there is a place near Norris Dam, Tennessee, called Appalachian Museum, not far off the interstate that has many old buildings, and a huge barn like structure full of 'old' stuff. Has a farm-like setting, with some animals, and is the resting place of several old log cabins and many old tools. There is a grist mill nearby.
Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield - Museum & park get mostly five stars. Park service runs shuttle buses to the top with many defense works & cannons. Great views of Atlanta skyline. Takes about 4 to 5 hours to enjoy. Interesting fact: The city of Kennesaw has a law that every home owner must own a gun. They have a very low crime rate.
Since your flying in (Atlanta ?) schedule your arrival / departure to transit the city between 10 AM to 2:30 PM. In my opinion going thru the city on I75 (I75 & I85 join together through the city) is quicker and actually less congested because the only trucks allowed on that section are making deliveries in the city. Going around on I285 takes longer and the number of trucks is very heavy.
I was at Old Car City last year and found two additional locations to shoot, the first was Berry College, it has an old grist mill. We also visited Gibbs Garden. I've attached reference photos of each.
You'll love Old Car City, bring your Macro gear.

Don't forget the Texas, refreshed from its time in Spencer, NC.
I forgot to mention Berry College over in Rome. Not only the Grist Mill but the architecture of the buildings on campus is really varied and neat.... Oh, there are Eagles there as well as deer and other wildlife. It is a rather large sprawling campus
