Two blondes were broke so they went looking for a job. Jobs were scarce but they finally found the power company was looking for someone to set poles so they applied for the job. The HR guy said there was another pair of guys looking for the same job so he said that he would send them both out and the pair who did the most poles would get the job. So they all went out to work.

At 5pm the two guys came back, having set 8 poles. The blondes were'nt back yet. So he waited. And waited. And waited...

Finally at 10pm the blondes came back, all dirty and bedraggled. They said they had set 2 poles. The HR guy said, "only 2 poles? the other guys got 8 poles set".

The blondes said "yeah, but you should see how much they left sticking out!"

Two blondes walk into a building. You would have thought one of them would have seen it.

I once got a call from our corporate travel dept to confirm some info they'd received from my secretary about an overseas trip. This was unusual...I'd made the trip before and they'd never called. Seems that when she was asked if my Visa was in order she told them it wasn't a problem as I generally liked to use American Express.
And she was a brunette.

And, the punchline remains a mystery to you.

Absolutely middle aged white men or men in general make mistakes or make poor decisions, just pay attention to television commercials. Seems as though this depiction of men has been going on for so long that it has become accepted that men do not have the ability to make good decisions on everyday matters. Or, that they are seen negatively in a lot of situations. Television commercials seem to make a humorous showing of these as one would of “blonde jokes”. Pay attention to commercial television you will see this it is so prevalent that has gone unnoticed for decades.

Or do you think middle aged white guys never make mistakes?

As a middle aged white guy, I’m surprised you still remembered them well enough to write such a excruciatingly boring analysis. And, this is from an old aged white guy.

You are quite correct, Dale. A very interesting and astute observation.

Advertisers know exactly what they are doing, and it's because women make the vast majority of all spending decisions; single women definitely, but about the same ratio when they are married.

What married man would buy a new car with asking the wife about the color? Or body design?

Most important, a man buys a particular house because his wife decides which house to buy.

Even his own clothes are often decided by the wife.

And, then there are vacations, friends, relatives, food, entertainment, children (how many, what college, etc.) Women make most of the decisions about these matters too.

A man wants one thing in a relationship with a woman... and we all know what it is (cooking and cleaning are of secondary importance). And, if a man goes contrary to his wife's or girlfriend's desires... we all know what happens after that, too.

A woman wants to be the decider, and have everything based on her needs and desires.

And, the man usually complies because of his primary (most primitive) need (I emphasize Need).

So advertisers cater to that "female market"; and, a large part of it is to make the man appear dopey, needy, dumb, clueless, and naive.

And, we, all of us, know this.

And, he sees a beautiful woman at the bar. He sits down next to her, chats her up a bit, then asks," may I buy you a drink?"

She replies, "you're very nice to offer; but, to save you money, I must tell you that I'm a lesbian"

The man looks surprised, and then replies, "Really? so, how are things in Beirut?"

Most are, judging by my 4 foot 11 inch mom when my brothers or I did something wrong. Her sister was worse.
